Overview.
Dr Mike Mew is a third-generation orthodontist dedicated to understanding and preventing crooked teeth—not simply treating them after the fact.
His approach challenges a fundamental assumption in modern dentistry: that malocclusion is inevitable. Instead, he asks a deeper question: What environmental and developmental factors create the conditions for crowding in the first place?
By examining the interplay between facial growth, breathing, posture, and lifestyle, Dr Mew explores how early intervention and subtle preventive measures can often reduce or eliminate the need for complex orthodontic treatment later in life. His work draws on decades of family orthodontic expertise, rigorous training in growth and development, and a commitment to evidence-based inquiry.
Rather than working in isolation, Dr Mew collaborates within a growing interdisciplinary community—connecting orthodontists, airway specialists, myofunctional therapists, and other practitioners who recognize that a face that grows well is a face that works well.
Today, his focus is on making preventive, functional orthodontics practical and accessible. Through measurement, early guidance, and education, he helps families and clinicians understand how to support natural facial development and long-term health.

Our Mission
We help understand facial development and growth
To shift orthodontics from correction toward prevention. We believe that malocclusion is not inevitable. By recognizing the environmental and functional factors that shape facial growth—breathing, posture, diet, and daily habits—we can intervene early and effectively to support natural development.
The most effective orthodontic care begins before problems become entrenched. Through careful measurement, early identification, and minimal intervention at the earliest stage, we help children avoid invasive treatments and build foundations for lifelong health. A face that grows well is a face that works well.
Our Values.
We believe that excellent orthodontic care is built on a foundation of prevention, evidence, and genuine partnership with families. These principles guide everything we do.
